Monthly Fee The monthly amount is billed to your credit card account for the web hosting services and domain name purchase provided. Billing starts the day you open your account and continues on that date each month.

Monthly Hosting Fee: Includes up to the first 5 domain names and a primary domain email account depending upon the package chosen.   An additional monthly fee of $3.00 per domain name is assessed for domain names 6 through 12.

Examples:  

Corporate Hosting for 12 total domain names and 1 primary domain email account would be: $49.95 + (4 domains + domains 6 thru 12 at $3.00 so 6 x $3.00= $18.00) = $49.95 + $18.00= $67.95 Total Hosting per month for 12 total domain names.

Business Super with 5 domain names would be $29.95 + 4 x $3.00 + $12.00 + $29.95+ $41.95 for 6 total domain names.

NOTE: All domain names will resolve to the same IP address.  To separate the content of one domain name from another, customers must implement application script using Active Server Pages (.asp), or Cold Fusion (.cfm).

Setup Fee There is a $25 initial setup fee for each hosting account. This includes 1 domain name and 1 domain name email account.  Each additional domain name or domain Email account is a $7.50 setup in addition to the initial $25 setup.

Example: Activate all 12 domain names upon initial setup total setup costs would be: $25 + (11 domain names x $7.50= $82.50) = $107.50 Total Setup

Megabytes The amount of storage in Megabytes that you can use to store data (web pages, databases, text files, images, etc.) within your web site. One megabyte is equal to 1,048,576 bytes. As a reference point, a full page of text is generally about 8,000 bytes of data with no graphics.

Bandwidth The amount of data transferred by users viewing your web site. Each time a user looks at your web site, the text and pictures on your page are transferred from our server to the users browser. As a reference point, if a typical page were 50K (51,200 bytes) and you had a 10 page site, and 100 users visited every page in your site one time -- that would equal about 48MB of data being transferred (Bandwidth) from our server to the users browser. When compared to our Business Account allowance for 2.5 Gigabytes (2650 Megabytes) or our Corporate Accounts 5 Gigabytes (5120 Megabytes) you can see this is quite a bit (no pun intended) of data transfer. Ninety Nine percent of our accounts are easily within this allowance.

Domain www.yourdomain.* A domain name is registered to and belongs to you. It is your own unique address on the internet and is used to uniquely identify your business or organization. Domain names in the US are registered through an organization named Network Solutions (you may have seen or heard them referred to as the "Internic"). The Internic charges a domain name registration fee of $70. This initial fee secures your domain name for 2 years after which a renewal fee of $35 per year is required to maintain the domain name in your name. Sanborn Web Designs offers domain name registration service at $16.96 per year.

We can submit your domain name registration when setting up your new account. We will make sure you are listed as the owner, admin and billing contact for the domain name. Sanborn Web Designs will be listed as the technical contact. We will bill you credit card on file for the registration -- Sanborn Web Designs does not charge you in any way to do this.

Transferring a domain: Sanborn Web Designs will submit the request thru our Domain services for only $14.95 per year per domain name.  We will update the technical contact and the domain name servers that the domain(s) is pointing to. As a result, you will receive an email to the domains technical and admin contact asking that the change be acknowledged. Once the approvals are received, they will process the change.

Mailboxes The ability to send email to any address within your domain name and to retrieve it from our mail server using a unique mail accounts. Our Mail server is POP3 and MS Exchange Server Compliant. To read mail from your unique mail accounts, you configure a POP3 compliant mail program (MS Outlook, Netscape Mail, Eudora, etc.) to retrieve mail directly from our mail server.

Unlimited Email Aliases The ability to alias one email address or a group of email address to a particular mailbox, Lets say Tom Smith has a mailbox called tsmith@yourdomain.com -a domain name hosted by Sanborn Web Designs. In addition to having Tom receive his own mail, you also want him to receive mail for "info", "sales", and "orders" at yourdomain.com. We would alias "info", "sales", and "orders" to "tsmith". All mail sent to those 4 addresses would go to the "tsmith" account for Tom to read, Looking at the "from" address of each mail would let Tom know which address the message was sent to.

Active Server Page Mail Component Provides you with the ability to send mail from your web site using Active Server Pages or HTML and CDNOTS.

With our Business and Corporate Account you have the ability to create an unlimited number of Subwebs.
